The Xalo Labs team
Xalo Labs has partnered with Entourage AI, a University of Glasgow spin-out led by Professor Patrick Gunning. The partnership was announced by the University of Glasgow. It puts movement and biology in one picture of the player.
What Entourage AI does
Entourage AI uses repeat, low-volume blood sampling to monitor biomarkers linked to immune function, inflammation and organ health. The sampling runs throughout a season, so the picture builds game by game, block by block.
Why biology is the next layer
Xalo starts with footage. Broadcast footage alone is enough to see how every player on the pitch is moving, live, against their own baseline. From there, every layer a club adds sharpens the picture: GPS and load, wellness, medical data. Biology sits naturally on top of movement and load. It is a view of the player that footage cannot give on its own.
As the University of Glasgow announcement puts it, Entourage AI’s biomarker monitoring combined with Xalo’s real-time analysis of fatigue and biomechanical changes gives performance and medical teams deeper insight into injury risk, recovery and readiness.
What clubs get
A package: Xalo Sport and Entourage AI together. Movement, load and biology, tracked through the season, in one picture of the player. Nothing is required beyond the data a club already collects. The sampling is the one addition, and it is optional. Xalo Sport works on its own from the footage you already have.
