Xalo reads musculoskeletal injury risk from the CCTV you already have. No wearables, no new cameras, no disruption to the shift.

Fewer injuries. Fewer claims.

Musculoskeletal injuries are the biggest cause of lost time in physical work. Almost all of them build up over weeks before anyone reports pain. That is the window Xalo works in.

  • 27%27%

of all UK work-related ill health is musculoskeletal.

  • 7.1 million7.1 million

working days lost to it every year.

  • £10,000£10,000

average cost of a single workplace injury, before the claim.

  1. One bad lift costs years.

The injury that ends a career on the line rarely comes from one bad day. It comes from the same movement, under the same load, repeated until something gives. Xalo sees the pattern forming.

  2. See the risk in time.

Rising load on a knee, a back or a shoulder shows in how a person moves long before it shows on a sick note. Xalo flags it while there is still time to change the task, the station or the rota.

  3. A workforce that lasts.

Fewer people off, fewer agency fills, fewer claims to defend. Experienced operators stay on the floor, and the insurer sees a site that manages risk rather than reports it.

Direction of travel, not a promise of figures. Your rollout sets the measures.

Find it. Fix it. Prove it.

One view across every shift, every line and every person on it.

Product illustration: a live shift dashboard for a fictional distribution centre. Camera feeds from goods-in, an aisle and despatch; operators by risk profile, load and lifts; movement flags such as a high-risk lift, twisting under load and over-reach at height, each with a saved clip; a timeline of clips across the shift; and high-risk lifts falling across the week.

Five zones, Goods-in, Aisle 14, Mezzanine, Packing and Despatch, shaded by movement risk, with camera views drawn as cones and live flags pinging where risky movement happens. A side panel shows the selected zone's top risk, score and trend.

Zones by risk

Elite sport science, pointed at a lift.

Xalo was built to read injury risk in Premier League players from match footage alone. The same model reads an operator on a packing line. A body under repeated load breaks down the same way whether it is sprinting or lifting, and the warning signs appear in movement first.

Measured on every lift

  • Spine flexion

How far the trunk bends forward from upright.

  • Knee bend

Whether the lift comes from the legs or the back, and whether the knees fall inward.

  • Load distance

How far the load is held from the lower back.

  • Twist

Trunk rotation while the load is in the hands.

  • Reach height

Hands above the shoulder or below the knee.

  • Repetition

How often the task is done, across the whole shift.

REBA posture score

1 to 15

The whole-body posture score ergonomists use, worked out for every lift, not one observed task a year.

Processed on site

Footage is processed where it is filmed.

  • Built in elite football

Developed with Premier League performance and medical teams, where the cost of a missed injury is measured in millions.

  • Led by science

Pose estimation and biomechanics, trained against real injury outcomes. Not a wearable, not a questionnaire.

  • Proving it in UK industry

Now working with UK manufacturers and logistics operators on their highest-risk lines.

Start small. Prove it fast.

No installation project. No change to how people work. Three steps from first look to site-wide.

Built for physical work.

Anywhere people lift, reach, twist or carry for a living.

  • Foundries, casting and fettling

    Heavy loads, heat and repetition.

  • Fabrication and engineering

Fixed stations, awkward reach, long shifts.

  • Defence and aerospace

    Precision work under sustained posture.

  • Automotive and components

    Line pace meets manual handling.

  • Warehousing and logistics

The highest manual handling injury rate in the UK.

  • Food and drink production

    Cold, wet, fast and repetitive.

  • Construction and precast

Lifting, bending and carrying on uneven ground.

You decide what Xalo sees

Xalo measures movement and load. It does not measure output, speed or where people are. It exists to keep your people working, not to watch them work.

  • Movement, not productivity

No pace scoring, no output tracking, no attendance data. The model reads how a body is moving under load and nothing else.

  • Named data goes to the right people

Individual risk flags go to whoever owns health and safety on your site, not to line managers or productivity teams.

  • Built for GDPR from day one

Footage is processed for the analysis, not kept as a surveillance archive. We support your data protection impact assessment from the start.

  • Restricted areas stay restricted

Any camera or zone can be excluded. Welfare areas are never analysed.

  • Works with your reps

We'll work with your union and employee representatives from day one, because a safety tool only works if people trust it.

FAQ

01Do we need new cameras?

No. Xalo works with the CCTV you already have. If a key area has no coverage we will tell you in the audit.

02Is this monitoring my people?

It is monitoring movement and load, not people. There is no output, pace or location tracking, and named risk data goes to occupational health, not line managers.

03Does it replace our risk assessments?

No. It makes them continuous. Your manual handling assessment is a snapshot. Xalo tells you what has changed since.

04Can you bring in our HAVS or wearable data?

Yes. Where you already run wearables or hand-arm vibration monitoring, Xalo sits alongside it rather than replacing it.

05What about restricted or sensitive areas?

Excluded by default. You choose which cameras and zones are in scope, and welfare areas are never included.

06How long until we see results?

Weeks, not months. A risk audit from footage you already have, then a single workstation live, then a site decision with evidence behind it.
